Ms. DimSum and Mr. Chick open in Yorktown

The co-owners of Mr. Chick and Ms. DimSum cut a ribbon on their new restaurants on May 20, 2025, in Yorktown Heights.

May 21, 2025 – Yorktown officials celebrated the grand opening on Tuesday of two new restaurants, Ms. DimSum and Mr. Chick.

Ms. DimSum at 385 Kear Street offers a variety of Asian dishes including dim sum, comforting noodle soups, and refreshing bubble teas. Mr. Chick sits next door at the same address and serves bold Korean-inspired versions of crispy fried chicken sandwiches, flavorful wings, seasoned fries, and refreshing bingsu, a milk-based Korean shaved ice dessert with sweet toppings. Both restaurants offer take-out and dine-in.

“I am so proud of what you have going here,” Supervisor Ed Lachterman told co-owner Sindy Lin. “I can’t tell you how much we’re pulling for you. You and your partners will do fantastic business here.”

The residential-retail building at 385 Kear Street has 2,567 square feet of ground-floor retail with three apartments each on the two upper floors that opened in 2024. The two new restaurants are near the bustling Yorktown Green shopping center.

“You guys are going to crush it,” Councilman Patrick Murphy told Lin. “Online the reviews are awesome already. We wish you good luck.”

Lin’s family also operates Wild Fusion in Mohegan Lake and the former Flame Asian Bistro at the Jefferson Valley Mall.

“The place is absolutely beautiful,” said Councilman Sergio Esposito. “I came here on the soft opening and had a chicken sandwich. It was outrageous.”
