Fire Hydrant Flushing - 11/06/25
The Yorktown Consolidated Water District will be flushing fire hydrants between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. today on the following streets (streets may be added to or deleted from a particular day's area as the workday progresses):

Granite Springs, Colonial, Barry, Windsor, Waverly, Welsch, Murphy, Ridge, Sultana, Van Cortlandt, Parker, Fisher Pond, Fountain, Pondfield, Hallocks Mill, Laurel, Mc Bride & Gerard.

Amawalk Water Filter Treatment Plant Temporarily Offline
The Northern Westchester Joint Water Works have temporarily taken their Amawalk Water Filter Treatment Plant offline.

All residents within the Yorktown Water District are receiving their potable water from the N.W.J.W.W's Catskill Water Filter Treatment Plant.

Yorktown Water District - Lead Service Line Inventory Notice Distributed
On July 1, 2025, The Yorktown Consolidated Water District #1 was found to be in violation for Failure to develop and/or submit an acceptable Initial Lead Service Line Inventory by the October 10, 2024 deadline. (Violation of 40 C.F.R. 141.84 (a) and 141.90(e).

The Yorktown Consolidated Water District does not have any known lead service lines. Yorktown’s water service lines are required to be made of copper.

Please be informed that in conformance with all applicable statues, rules, and regulations, the Town of Yorktown will be re-levying all unpaid water balances as of February 28, 2025 on upcoming property tax bills.

Electronic payment of bills can be made via credit card or electronic check through the water billing website portal. A convenience fee for these transactions apply.
