Yorktown Issues Condemnation Order For Defunct Shrub Oak Tire Shop
The Town of Yorktown has condemned a derelict tire shop in Shrub Oak.The building at 1378 E. Main Street once housed a business called Under Care, but it has been vacant and deteriorating since at least 2009. The town’s condemnation order gives the property owner 30 days to either demolish the structure or begin comprehensive renovations to bring it up to code.

Town & County Taxes Due

Thursday, April 30th

For the calendar year January 1st through December 31st, Town & County taxes are due as of April 1st and must be paid by April 30th, in full, as levied, to avoid penalty. This bill is mailed on the first of April.

Payments can be made by either check, cash, money order, or online check payments and can be made in person at the tax office between 8 AM - 4 PM, by mail post marked by 04/30/2026, or placed in the green after hours drop box behind Town Hall.
