Today, the Town of Yorktown joins the rest of the nation in observing National Medal of Honor Day. The day is dedicated to the few who have displayed conspicuous gallantry at the risk of life above and beyond the call of duty.
YWD staff are repairing a water leak on Mohegan Ave. at Sagamore Ave. Some homes in the area may experience a water service interruption. Once repaired (www.yorktownny.gov), will be updated. A community vigil will be held to honor the beautiful life of Sheridan Gorman at Jack DeVito Veterans Memorial Field on Saturday, March 28th at 6 PM.
