Water Main Repair - Central St. in Yorktown Heights
YWD staff are repairing a water main break on Central St. in Yorktown Heights. Some homes in this area may experience a water service interruption. Upon completion of the repair (website will be updated), please flush your cold water should you experience discolored and/or 'cloudy' water. Hart Library Participates in “One County, One Read”
The Hart Library will participate in the first One County, One Read initiative, a Westchester-wide literary event designed to foster community through a shared reading experience. In honor of the upcoming 250th anniversary of the American Revolution, all 38 public libraries in Westchester County will encourage residents to read the same book: The Revolutionary: Samuel Adams by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Stacy Schiff.

No Garbage Collection on Monday, January 26
There will be no garbage collection on Monday, January 26th. Monday collections will be Tuesday.Tuesday collections will be Wednesday. All other collections will remain the same.

2nd Half of School Tax Due January 31

The second half of school tax is due by January 31, 2026. Because this is a Saturday, payments can be made on February 2, 2026 without penalty.

Payments can be made by either check, cash, money order, or online check payments and can be made in person at the tax office between 8 AM - 4 PM, by mail post marked by 02/02/2026*, or placed in the green after hours drop box behind Town Hall.

*Request your mail be hand stamped, to ensure it is post marked by 02/02/2026.
