Public Meeting Seeking Downtown Revitalization Proposals
The Town of Yorktown will hold a public meeting on October 6 to solicit proposals from the public for downtown revitalization grants.
Yorktown officials will apply for $10 million from the state Downtown Revitalization Initiative and $4.5 million from the NY Forward program. The Town’s goal is to revitalize its commercial corridors, strengthen the local economy and foster a vibrant, year-round community.
Businesses, nonprofit organizations, developers, and property owners can submit project proposals that range from new construction, renovated housing, and façade improvements to renovations for new retail, offices, industrial, recreational, or cultural uses.
The public meeting is October 6 at 7:30 pm at the John C. Hart Memorial Library, 1130 E. Main Street in Shrub Oak.
Private meetings are available on request. For additional information email: [email protected]
