Town Supervisor

The Town Supervisor is the chief executive officer and chief fiscal officer for the Town of Yorktown. As chief fiscal officer, the Supervisor is responsible for presenting a tentative budget and managing the Town’s fiscal affairs. The Supervisor oversees the daily administration of all Town departments and represents the Town in regional matters by working closely with elected officials at all levels of government. The Supervisor is also a member of the Town Board and in that capacity presides over Town Board meetings and votes on all matters before the Board.

Ed Lachterman

Ed Lachterman was elected Yorktown Town Councilman in 2015. He become Acting Town Supervisor in January 2024, when then Supervisor Tom Diana unexpectedly passed away. After a Special Election, Ed fulfilled the remaining years of Supervisor Diana's term. Recently Ed was elected as Town Supervisor to serve from January 1, 2026 - December 31, 2026.
