Underhill Ave. (Front St. to Hanover Rd.) will closed to traffic Friday, November 21, 2025 at approximately 8:30 AM.

It will remain closed today until road restoration work is completed  by the Yorktown Highway Dept. This work was necessitated by Monday's water main leak.

Monday, November 17, 2025 @ 9:00 AM: Underhill Avenue will be closed from Front Street to Hanover Street due to a possible water leak on Underhill Avenue.

YWD staff have repaired a water main break on Underhill Avenue near Rochambeau Drive. 

Please flush your cold water line should you experience discolored or cloudy water. 

Third graders from the Brookside Elementary School visited the Yorktown Water District on November 13, 2025. The students were met by Water Superintendent Paul Vasillo & Water Meter Foreperson James Waterhouse.

The Yorktown Consolidated Water District will be flushing fire hydrants between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. today on the following streets (streets may be added to or deleted from a particular day's area as the workday progresses):

Granite Springs, Colonial, Barry, Windsor, Waverly, Welsch, Murphy, Ridge,  Sultana, Van Cortlandt, Parker, Fisher Pond, Fountain, Pondfield, Hallocks Mill, Laurel, Mc Bride & Gerard.

The Northern Westchester Joint Water Works have temporarily taken their Amawalk Water Filter Treatment Plant offline. All residents within the Yorktown Water District are receiving their potable water from the NWJWW's Catskill Water Filter Treatment Plant.

The Yorktown Consolidated Water District will be flushing fire hydrants in parts of sections 6 & 7 beginning October 20, 2025 thru November 28, 2025 between the hours of 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.

YWD staff have repaired a water main break on Mercer Road/Court. Please flush your cold water should you experience discolored or cloudy water. Thank you for your cooperation during this emergency repair.
