History Comes Alive in Yorktown Through Revolutionary War Concert

Yorktown, N.Y.  — Local history and original music will converge in Yorktown as musicians Carla Lynne Hall and Jim Keyes perform This Man’s A Spy!

The free concert on September 20 tells the dramatic story of the American Revolution’s most notorious betrayal: the treasonous plot between British spy Major John André and American General Benedict Arnold, the commander of West Point. Through original songwriting, Hall and Keyes explore the events that unfolded across Westchester County and highlight Yorktown's role in this historic narrative.

The 2 p.m. event is part of a continuing series of local historical commemorations celebrating America’s 250th anniversary initiatives. Attendees are invited to experience a vivid retelling of espionage, loyalty, and betrayal that shaped the nation's path toward independence.

“Yorktown played a pivotal role in our nation’s history. As we wrap up our year of festivities surrounding America’s 250th anniversary, it’s vital that we honor the stories that defined the American Revolution,” said Supervisor Ed Lachterman. “This Man’s A Spy! is a wonderful opportunity for our residents to come together, enjoy original live music, and connect with our extraordinary local heritage.”
