Relay For Life of Yorktown to Gather Community This Friday in the Fight Against Cancer

Community members, cancer survivors, caregivers, and volunteers will come together this Friday, May 29, 2026, for the annual Relay For Life of Yorktown walkathon. Dedicated to honoring those touched by cancer and raising critical funds for the American Cancer Society, the event has already raised $34,919.71 toward its $75,000 goal as of Tuesday.

WHAT: Relay For Life of Yorktown Walkathon & Community Event

WHEN: Friday, May 29, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

WHERE: Jack DeVito Track & Field, 208-264 Veterans Rd, Yorktown Heights, NY 10598

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS & MEDIA OPPORTONITIES:

• 3:00 p.m. – Event Opens / Registration begins
• 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. – Kids Fest: Activities, games, and entertainment for families and children.
• 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. – Survivor Celebration: Honoring local cancer survivors and their caregivers with special recognition.
• 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. – The Walkathon: Teams and individuals take to the track to walk in solidarity, keeping at least one member on the track at all times.
• 9:30 p.m. – Luminaria Ceremony: A deeply moving twilight ceremony where the track is illuminated by dedicated bags to honor those lost to cancer, support those currently fighting, and celebrate survivors.
