Snow Emergency Declaration

SNOW EMERGENCY DECLARATION
TOWN OF YORKTOWN, NEW YORK

A Snow Emergency is hereby declared in the Town of Yorktown, N.Y. effective as of 4:00 P.M. on December 26, 2025.

This Snow Emergency has been declared due to a severe snowstorm that may cause extremely hazardous conditions on the roadways and throughout the entire town.
This situation threatens public safety.

This Snow Emergency will remain in effect until 4:00 P.M. on December 27, 2025, or if it is rescinded by a subsequent order.

As the Town Supervisor of the Town of Yorktown, I, Edward A. Lachterman exercises the authority given me under Section 24 of the New York State Executive Law to preserve public safety and hereby render all required and available assistance vital to the security, well-being, and health of the citizens of the Town of Yorktown. 

I hereby direct all departments and agencies of the Town of Yorktown to take whatever steps necessary to protect life and property, public infrastructure, and provide such emergency assistance deemed necessary.
