State of Emergency & Snow Emergency Declarations

The Town of Yorktown has declared both a State of Emergency and a Snow Emergency effective as of 6:00 AM on Sunday, January 25, 2026.

This State of Emergency has been declared due to the forecasted heavy snow and blizzard conditions. It is anticipated that the storm will cause extremely hazardous conditions on the roadways caused by heavy snow, fallen and downed power lines. This situation threatens public safety. This State of Emergency will remain in effect until rescinded by a subsequent order. 

This Snow Emergency has been declared due to a severe snowstorm that may cause extremely hazardous conditions on the roadways and throughout the entire town. This situation threatens public safety. This Snow Emergency will remain in effect until 6:00 AM on Monday, January 27, 2026, or if it is rescinded by a subsequent order.
