Statement From Yorktown Supervisor Ed Lachterman

The following is a message from Yorktown Supervisor Ed Lachterman:

“As the Westchester County Board of Elections continues its counting of votes today, it is important to note that election results in Yorktown are incomplete and unofficial.

Following the problems with polling machines on Election Day, ballots remain to be counted. The results currently posted by the Westchester County Board of Elections are preliminary.

The Board of Elections will update the vote totals throughout the day as they are able to verify each district. Residents can follow the updates to the vote by clicking on the board’s election results page.

I want to thank our residents who remained civil and calm during the disrupted voting process. Yorktown is the best community with the best people, and you prove it repeatedly.

We will keep you updated as the remaining ballots are counted.”
