Yorktown Annual 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony is Friday

What: The Town of Yorktown will host its annual September 11 Remembrance Ceremony to honor the victims of the 2001 terrorist attacks, paying special tribute to the five Yorktown residents who lost their lives at the World Trade Center: Patrick Danahy, Simon Dedvukaj, Paul Fiori, Alan W. Friedlander, and Barry McKeon. The solemn gathering will bring together local elected officials, members of the clergy, veterans’ organizations, emergency first responders, and community residents to reflect, pray, and honor the memory of those lost.

WHEN: Friday, September 11 at 4:00 p.m.

WHERE: Shrub Oak 9/11 Memorial, 1130 E. Main St., Shrub Oak (Located adjacent to the John C. Hart Memorial Library)

WHO: Town of Yorktown Elected Officials, Local Clergy, Veterans’ Groups, Community Members & First Responders

MEDIA OPPORTUNITIES: Photo, video, and interview opportunities will be available with town officials, participating clergy, and attending veterans following the ceremony.
