RT 35 BY AMAWALK SPILLWAY MAIN BREAK
YWD staff are repairing a water main break on Rt 35 / Saw Mill River Rd. on the Northern Westchester Joint Water Work's 16" water main from the Amawalk Filter Treatment Plant.
Some homes in the area may experience a water service interruption.
RT 35 IS CLOSED FROM RT. 118 TO LAKE RD. IN SOMERS. EXPECT DELAYS.
Upon completion of the repair (website www.yorktownny.gov), will be updated.
The break affected a number of areas within Yorktown as the water rushed to the break area causing brown water. Any discoloration will need to settle down in the mains.
Please flush your cold water line should you experience discolored or cloudy water (air in water).
