Senior Property Tax Exemptions

There are several property tax savings programs for which seniors may be eligible. The Town of Yorktown has opted into the Senior Citizen with Limited Income tax exemption program. Enhanced Star Exemption & Income Verification Program

This form is primarily for use by property owners with Basic STAR exemptions who wish to apply and are eligible for the Enhanced STAR exemption.

Senior Citizens with Limited Income Exemption (RP-467)

The Senior Tax Exemption (RP-467) is available to homeowners age 65 and over (must turn 65 prior to December 31, 2025).

Veterans Exemptions

There are three different property tax exemptions available to veterans who have served in the U. S. Armed Forces, including veterans who have served in the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard.
