The popular Friday night teen program is back for the 2025-26 school year.

The Yorktown Teen Center’s program at the Albert A. Capellini Community & Cultural Center runs from 5:30 to 9:30 pm and it offers a safe and fun space for local teens to gather in a supervised environment.

Sportime Pickleball of Yorktown will offer 12, state-of-the-art, cushioned, climate-controlled courts, courtside viewing, players lounges, locker rooms and showers, two private party rooms, and a full suite of programming for players of all ages and levels.

The Garden Club of Yorktown is almost finished with the second phase of a new native-species garden at Veteran Memorials Circle. Yorktown High School students will have a smooth start to the academic year after a major facelift for a commuter parking lot next to the campus. Resurfacing work at the Downing Park commuter parking lot began on Monday with crew laying new asphalt. Yorktown inaugurated a renovated pickleball facility on Monday at Tom Diana Park at the Granite Knolls Recreation & Sports Complex.
