Comprehensive Plan
A town comprehensive plan is a long-range planning document that outlines a community's vision and goals for the future, providing a guide for growth and development by addressing land use, housing, transportation, and economic development. This plan serves as a foundation for local decision-making, ensuring that development is orderly and coordinated, and guides the creation of specific regulations like zoning ordinances. Yorktown's last Comprehensive Plan was adopted on June 15, 2010.
