Election Information

2025 Elections

General Election -- November 4, 2025: Early voting for the General Election will be Saturday, October 25, 2025 through Sunday, November, 2, 2025. (Times will be posted at a later date.)

Early Voting Locations:  Albert A. Capellini Community & Cultural Center Gym, 1974 Commerce Street, Yorktown, NY (please enter from the Veterans Road Entrance to the back of the building), and the Jefferson Village Annex, 3500 Hill Boulevard, Yorktown, NY.

Restrictions on Machine Voting:

Any voter who is issued an Absentee / Early Mail ballot, and who subsequently attempts to vote in person, must only be allowed to vote via affidavit ballot. The affidavit ballot will be kept separate until the election is completed. Election officials will verify whether the voter’s early mail ballot has been received.  If the voter’s absentee / early mail ballot has been received, the affidavit ballot will not be counted. If the voter’s absentee / early mail ballot has not been received, the affidavit ballot will be counted.

Voter registration lists shall indicate that an Early Mail ballot was issued.

Key Dates:

  • October 25 - Voter Registration Deadline
  • October 25 - Last day for Board of Elections to receive application for Absentee Ballot by mail or by online portal
  • November 3 - Last day to apply in person at the Board of Elections for General Election Ballot.
  • November 4 - Last day to postmark General Election Ballot.  Must be received by the Board of Elections no later than November 12.
  • November 4 - Last day to deliver General Election Ballot in person to Board of Elections or poll site by the close of polls on election day.

A note about Absentee Ballots:  Absentee Ballots may be brought to an early voting poll site in Westchester County between October 25 and November 2 or may be brought to a poll site in Westchester County on November 4.

Qualifications to Vote by Absentee Ballot:

  • Absent from your county or, if a resident of New York City absent from the five boroughs, on Election Day.
  • Unable to appear at the polls due to temporary or permanent illness or disability.
  • Unable to appear because you are the primary caregiver of one or more individuals who are ill or physically disabled.
  • A resident or patient of a Veterans Health Administration Hospital.
  • In jail or prison for any reason other than a felony conviction. This includes anyone who is awaiting grand jury action, awaiting trial, or serving a sentence for a misdemeanor.
