Thunder Ridge Ski and Snowboard Lessons

Yorktown Parks and Recreation has partnered with Thunder Ridge Snowsports School for the 2026-2027 season to provide our community with discounted ski and snowboard lessons.

Registration will begin Wednesday, November 4th, 2026 at 10:00AM.

All registration will be completed online utilizing Thunder Ridge's Parks & Recreation Department specific registration page.
Please be sure to read all the information below and review the Program Terms and Conditions before registering.
Be aware that these coupon codes are for participants 8+ years of age, no exceptions. If your child is not 8 years of age, Thunder Ridge has additional programs you can register for directly on their website.

Enter in your one-time use coupon code at the bottom next to the total. Coupons are only good one time, for one registration. If registering multiple students, please ask for multiple codes.

2026-2027 Pricing

Lessons are for skiers and snowboarders, AGES 8 and up.
All students regardless of age and ability must purchase a pre-paid 6-week lift ticket or
Season Pass at time of registration for lesson package.
There is no guarantee the students will ride up the chairlift

LIFT & LESSON (Includes lift ticket during lesson and remainder of evening)*	$606.00 for six 1½ hour group lessons
LIFT, LESSON & RENTALS (Includes lift ticket & rental equipment during lesson and remainder of evening)*	$774.00 for six 1½ hour group lessons
SEASON PASSHOLDER LESSON ONLY (Only available to Thunder Ridge Season Passholders - you MUST purchase a season pass through Thunder Ridge directly BEFORE choosing this option)	$402.00 for six 1½-hour group lessons

Parents and siblings may ski or ride and rent at the discount price any night their child or sibling is in a
6-week open enrollment lesson.

LIFT TICKET ONLY	$48 per night
RENTAL EQUIPMENT	$42 per night

2026-2027 Registration

Thunder Ridge Ski Area is looking forward to your participation in our seasonal lesson program. This year, we will be collecting online electronic registrations and electronic lesson and rental waivers for each participant. An electronic waiver is required for any lesson participant and equipment rental at the time of selection.

Registration will open on November 4th at 10am. Each individual must register for the seasonal lessons by December 9, 2026 or until the programs sell out. Each participant on the snow needs a lift ticket or season pass and equipment. We rent equipment if needed. Equipment Rentals includes skis, boots and poles or snowboard and boots. We do not rent helmets.

Payment will be provided to Thunder Ridge directly via online registration. All registrations must be made online by December 9, 2026.

You will be able to access classes through our website specific, password protected, Parks and Recreation page via QR code or website link provided.

Once you select a program and add it to your cart, you will be able to add the coupon code you received from your Parks & Recreation Department at the bottom next to the total. Keep in mind, if you are registering 2 students, you will need 2 coupon codes – it is one code per registrant and is a one-time use only. Follow the prompts to check out and complete the registration process.

***Please be aware that due to the way the Christmas break holiday falls, and the start of seasonal programs, all weekend programs WILL run into President’s Weekend. Any programs that are postponed by Thunder Ridge for any reason WILL run into President’s Week. Please consider your schedule BEFORE you sign up for the program. There are no makeups for missed/skipped lessons.

*Please note, Thunder Ridge closes at 5pm on Sundays. Your ticket included with the lesson is available at 2:45pm. If you wish to come earlier you will need to pay the full rate for the available Day Ticket, if we have not reached capacity.
