Holiday Electric Lights Parade

The 15th annual Holiday Electric Lights Parade and Tree Lighting will be Saturday, December 5th, 2026.

Parade Route: 

Parade begins on Front Street, turning left onto Underhill Avenue and a right onto Commerce Street. The parade will proceed towards the Firehouse, turning left to continue on Commerce Street until making a right onto Veterans Road. The parade will end at the Jack DeVito Field Veterans Plaza, where the Tree Lighting will take place. 

POTENTIAL ENTRIES: 

Any interested groups/organizations may enter to participate in the parade by submitting an online 
entry registration form HERE.

Note all entries must review and adhere to the Rules and Regulations.

Parade Awards

Parade Entries are reviewed by our panel of judges as the parade commences past the firehouse. At the conclusion of the parade during the Tree Lighting, awards are presented to the entries that have displayed to the judges the most exceptional lights, theme or showmanship. 

Twinkle Award - presented to the parade entry with the most dazzling lights
Honorable Mention Twinkle Award - presented to the parade entry with the brightest lights

Judge's Choice Award - presented to the parade entry with the most outstanding display of imagination
Honorable Mention Judge's Choice Award - presented to the parade entry with the most creative display of imagination

Theme Award - presented to the parade entry with the most exceptional showmanship
Honorable Mention Theme Award - presented to the parade entry with the most outstanding showmanship

Grand Marshal's Choice Award - presented to the parade entry that most impressed the Grand Marshal

Youth Award - presented to the most exceptional group of youngsters
Honorable Mention Youth Award - presented to the most exceptional group of youngsters

Randy Zapakin Memorial Award - presented to the parade entry that most embodies the theme of Community Service

Yorktown Service Award - presented to the Town of Volunteer Department with the most outstanding entry

Thomas P. Diana Award - presented to the Town or Volunteer Department with the most outstanding entry

Special Award for 2026: Yorktown 250 Award - presented to the parade entry with the most patriotic lights in honor of America's 250th anniversary
