Yorktown Lions Halloween Parade & Carnival

All ages Welcome!
2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Parade line-up begins at 1:30pm at Yorktown Fire House. Parade step off at 2:00pm. Carnival to run until 4:00pm.
The Halloween parade will begin at the Yorktown Fire House. Participants will march to the Jack DeVito Field Veterans Plaza for outdoor Halloween activities, costume showcase, hayrides and entertainment. Free to all Yorktown residents. No registration required!

Spook the Halls Drawing Event
at the Albert A. Capellini Community and Cultural Center
Thursday, October 8th
Grades 1-12
Session A: 4:00 - 5:00 pm Register Here
Session B: 5:15 - 6:15 pm Register Here
Location: Albert A Capellini Community and Cultural Center, 1974 Commerce Street - Room 122
Fee: $5.00 per participant
Join us as we spook-ify the Community and Cultural Center's Hallways! It's your chance to create a spooky masterpiece for all to see. Participants will be assigned a section of the hallway to design a Halloween scene on paper. Help us decorate the community for Halloween! Cider and treats will be provided! Must pre-register for this event.
Halloween Drawing Contest
Submission deadline: Thursday, October 22nd
Draw your favorite Halloween character! This program is available to all Yorktown residents grades K to 5. All entries must be on 8 1/2" x 11" white sheet of paper. The first place drawing will be used on the 2027 Halloween T-Shirts. Drawings must be submitted to the Recreation Department by Thursday, October 22nd, 2026.
